Man electrocuted to death in Mymensingh

A day labouer was electrocuted to death in Mymensingh's Tarakanda upazila this morning.

The victim is Tara Miah, 32, of Batia village in Tarakanda, police said.

Quoting locals, Md Tipu Sultan, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station, said Tara Miah, a day labourer was electrocuted when he came in contact with an electric wire of a motor around 1:30am.

Hearing his screams, locals rushed to the spot, rescued him and took to Tarakanda Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.

The body was handed over to the family members.

An unnatural death case was lodged with the police station, said the OC.
