SAFF Championship 2013
Bangladesh were beaten by Pakistan 2-1 in their last match of Group A of the 10th SAFF Championship in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Both Bangladesh and Pakistan could not qualify for the semi-finals as India and the host Nepal took the top two positions of the group.
In the 33rd minute of the game, from a Raihan Hassan throw-in, Bangladesh striker Zahid Hasan Emily headed it over Pakistan goal keeper Saqib Hanif to make it 1-0.
But the lead lasted for three minutes as Pakistan skipper Samar Ishaq headed home from an Adnan Ahmed corner.
Muhammad Riaz of Pakistan scored at the second minute of the stoppage time and made the final score 2-1.
In another match of Group A, Nepal beat India 2-1.
