ISRO completes satellite undocking in SpaDeX mission

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully completed the undocking of two satellites as part of its Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) mission, marking a major milestone in India's space exploration journey.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, ISRO confirmed the achievement, detailing the precise sequence of events that led to the successful undocking in orbit. The space agency also shared a video showcasing the separation of the two satellites.
With this success, India joins an elite group of nations -- alongside the United States, Russia, and China -- capable of executing satellite docking and undocking in space.
The SpaDeX mission, launched on December 30 last year, was designed to demonstrate critical technologies related to spacecraft rendezvous, docking, and undocking. The latest accomplishment is expected to play a crucial role in India's ambitious future space missions, including plans for an outer space station and manned lunar expeditions.
