Arson Abound Ahead of Hartal

1) A microbus of ATN News burns before BNP's Naya Paltan central office in the capital around 2:00pm yesterday following an arson attack by BNP activists shortly after the end of a nearby rally protesting Sunday's gunshots fired before the BNP chairperson's office in Gulshan.

2) Firefighters try to douse the flames on a double-decker BRTC bus, used to carry Dhaka University students, in front of Shahidullah Hall. A group of three to four youths set fire to the vehicle around 12:15pm.

3) Fire engulfs a truck set alight by Islami Chhatra Shibir activists on the Rajshahi-Dhaka highway early yesterday.

4) Unknown miscreants set fire to this taxicab in front of ATN Bangla office in the capital's Karwan Bazar area around 8:00pm.

5) A man throws a bucketful of water on a microbus set alight by BNP activists before BNP's Naya Paltan central office in the capital.
