Abducted teenage boy rescued

Police rescued a teenage boy, who was abducted in the town on April 28 this year, from Jamalpur district early yesterday.
Victim Sabuj, 17, son of Saidul Islam of Bera upazila in Pabna district, was a resedent of Baghopara in the town.
Police and family sources said one Ratan called the youth out of home in the town on the day and since then he went missing.
Sabuj's father then filed a case with Sadar police station against local trader Shakil, his father Nannu Mia and his friend Ratan in connection with the abduction.
On secret information, police raided the area at midnight and rescued the youth, said assistant superintendent of police Gaziur Rahman.
However, the abductors managed to flee, sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
