3-day folkmusic festival in C'nawabganj

A three-day folkmusic festival began at Shaheed Shatu Hall in the town Sunday. Deputy Commissioner M Nurul Haque inaugurated the festival organised by local fine arts academy with the help of district administration.

Some 107 artistes from 30 organisations are taking part in the festival.

Competitions are being held on different folksongs including 'palligiti', 'gombhira', 'bhatiali', 'murshidi', 'baul', 'marfoti', 'lalongiti', 'jatra', 'jari', 'palakirton', folk drama, regional dance and fine arts.
