Two people were killed under the wheels of trains in separate incidents at Karwan Bazar in the capital on Sunday.

Swapan Mia, 30, a small trader, was crushed under the wheels of the Sundarban Express which was coming from Khulna at Karwan Bazar around 10:30am.

Meanwhile, an unidentified woman died after a Dhaka-bound train hit her as she was walking along rail tracks near FDC level crossing around 11:30am.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy.

Zahidul Islam, an assistant sub-inspector of Dhaka Railway Police Station, confirmed the incidents to The Daily Star.
