Neville set for MU comeback
Manchester United will welcome back captain Gary Neville at Stockport on Thursday night in what will be his first game in seven months.
The 32-year-old defender has not played since suffering an ankle injury in the champions' Premier League win over Bolton in March.
He then had a succession of thigh and calf problems, which forced manager Alex Ferguson to delay his intended return several times.
But even if Neville comes safely through the Manchester Senior Cup clash against Stockport, he is unlikely to be part of the squad for Saturday's showdown with league leaders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Instead he may be given a place on the bench for next week's Champions League tie with Dynamo Kiev at Old Trafford, or the home encounter with in-form Blackburn the following weekend.
