Int'l standard to be maintained in trial

FM tells German envoy

German Ambassador Frank Meyke paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Dipu Moni at Foreign Ministry yesterday.
During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations and other issues like development cooperation, investment, water management and climate change, human rights and trial of the war criminals, says a press release.
Regarding trail of the war criminals Dipu Moni said transparency and international standard would be maintained in the process of trail.
She said the government of Germany can play significant role in the development of Bangladesh especially in the field of food and commodity aid and loan.
Dipu Moni lauded the German support for investment and technical assistance at the early stage of our independence and mentioned that the trade relation between Bangladesh and Germany witnessing a steady growth.
The foreign minister said trade relations between the two countries can be further deepened and diversified through importing non-traditional items from Bangladesh such as ceramics, pharmaceuticals, jute and leather products, textiles, computer software, and handicrafts.
