Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Ahmed Ataul Hakeem yesterday handed over the annual audit report on spending from the state coffers to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister's Office.
On the occasion, the PM underscored the need for boosting the activities of parliamentary standing committees “to ensure transparency and accountability in maintaining government accounts”.
Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Mollah Waheeduzzaman and Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad were present.
