Esktaon thrive on Saddam
Eskaton completely outplayed Indira Road by 106 runs in a First Division Super League match at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Batting first, Eskaton amassed 247 in 48.1 overs with opener Saddam blazing 57 and Nadim adding an unbeaten half-century. For Indira, Manik and Isam picked up three wickets each.
Indira's reply fell away and only opener Asadul Shujon stayed around and struck a patient 65 before his side were bowled out for 141 in 42 overs. With the win, Eskaton move into fifth place with 18 points.
In the day's other match, Bangladesh Boys (150-5) beat Azad Sporting Club (149) by five wickets at the Dhaka University ground. Boys' Rony took four wickets and Mohammad Rahi struck 51 in the chase.
