Weeklong theatre festival in Bogra begins today

The weeklong 'Singer Inter District Theatre Festival 2009' begins today at Muktijoddha Aminul Haque Dulal Auditorium in Bogra town.
Bogra Theatre has arranged the festival in association with Singer Bangladesh Ltd and some other cultural organisations.
Secretary General of Bogra Theatre, Taufiq Hasan Moyna, said yesterday that several theatre troupes from different districts including Dhaka are participating in the weeklong programme.
Humayun Kabir, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogra, is set to inaugurate the festival today. Mahbub Jamil, chairman, Singer Bangladesh Ltd, will join the inaugural function as chief gust.
Nasiruddin Yousuff (chairman of Gram Theatre), singer Nahar Jamil and Professor Afsar Ahmed, among others, will attend the inaugural programme.
