Japan Cultural Festival ends today
The four-day Japan Cultural Festival 2009 concludes on the Shilpakala Academy premises in the city today with an exquisite bonsai contest and exhibition.
Cultural Secretary M Sharful Alam will attend as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the festival, being jointly organised by the Japanese Embassy and Shilpakala Academy.
However, the bonsai exhibition will jointly organised by Bangladesh Bonsai Society and Japanese Embassy.
The exhibition will feature nearly 100 miniature version of trees including common Bangladeshi trees like Bakul, Tetul, Pakur, Hijal, Bougainvillea and Kamini.
After the exhibition, three of the best exhibited potted plants will be awarded.
