Seiko Hashimoto, state secretary for foreign affairs of Japan, will visit Bangladesh on February 22-23 to talk to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and other ministers.
A news release from the Japanese Embassy said Hashimoto's visit to Bangladesh was intended by the Japanese government to congratulate the conduct of free and fair general election last year and also the inauguration of the new administration, which was democratically elected by the people.
