MPs cannot use mobile in House
Speaker Abdul Hamid yesterday asked lawmakers not to use mobile phone inside parliament.
He also asked them to have their mobile phones switched off before entering the House.
The speaker stopped Awami League lawmaker Nasimul Alam Chowdhury during question-answer session, saying that he was often hearing mobile phones ringing.
“There is a ruling that parliament members won't enter the House with cell phones switched on,” Hamid said.
In the seventh parliament, the then speaker had given a ruling asking lawmakers not to come to the House with mobile phones on.
