Nakshi Katha’s annual cultural programme

Nakshi Katha, a leading clothing business of the town arranged its annual cultural programme at Kobi Jasimuddin Hall recently.
The programme included an award-giving ceremony, renditions of Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, Lalan Geeti and staging of a play.
Singers Badal Das, Steve Turja and Lutfunnahar Lata performed at the programme.
Nakshi Katha Natya Gosthi staged the play “Achar” on the occasion. The play is written by Kazi Sirajul Islam and directed by Munshi Mohammad Ali Rumi. The play featured Abdur Rahaman, Rupak Kumar Saha, Sams-un-Nahar, Fahmida Naznin and others in major roles.
At the programme, eight personalities of the district were honoured for their outstanding achievements in education, healthcare, literature, culture, agriculture and entrepreneurship.
The honourees are: Abdul Latif Mollah, Satish Chandra Biswas, poet Enayet Hossein, Md. Mohiuddin Fakir, Fazilatunnesa, Md. Adam Ali Mollah, Alhaj Mir Samsul Haque and Kalipada Malakar.
Different socio-cultural organisations and eminent individuals of the town attended the programme.
