SSF protection for Khaleda demanded at RU

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) of Rajshahi University unit yesterday staged a demonstration on the campus, criticising the government for withdrawal of Special Security Force (SSF) cover for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The JCD leaders expressed deep concerns over the withdrawal of SSF protection and demanded immediate restoration of special security for the party chief.
They called on the government for maintaining congenial academic atmosphere and peaceful co-existence of all student organisations in the education institutions across the country.
The leaders also said the BNP chairperson's security could be at risk because of the withdrawal of her SSF protection, adding that the government's decision is illogical one.
The JCD activists urged the RU authorities and police administration and demanded exemplary punishment to BCL cadres who continue to attack JCD men on the campus.
The angry demonstration was addressed by Salauddin Rana, Sajedul Haque, Imtiaz and Ahsan.
