One killed in Rajshahi road accident

A truck helper was killed and five day-labourers were injured in a road accident on Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at Mohisalbaria at Godagari in the district yesterday.
The dead was identified as Erfan Ali, 45, while the injured were identified as Riaz Uddin, 55, Roich Uddin, 65, Durul, 40, Milon, 20 and Rakib, 25.
The accident occurred when a tomato-laden truck with ten day- labourers coming from Godagari lost control and fell into a roadside ditch.
The injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) and Godagari Health Complex.
Police seized the truck but its driver managed to escape.
