Muggers strangle elderly teacher

Muggers took away all the valuables from an elderly teacher after strangling him at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city on Saturday night.
The victim, Syed Hossain Ali, 60, a teacher of Saudi-Bangla Training Centre at North Badda, was found dead on a road at 7:00am yesterday.
The police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. Morgue sources said he was strangled.
Manjur-e-Mostofa, brother-in-law of the deceased, said, "Ali was coming to my house at Mirpur. But we could not reach his cell phone after 6:00pm."
"He was carrying some goods which he bought for his son who is now in Singapore," Mostofa said.
Tejgaon police said an unnatural death case was filed as they suspect that the man might have died of a cardiac arrest.
