3 killers get life in Magura

Magura Additional District and Sessions Judge Court yesterday sentenced three people including a father and his son to life tem rigorous imprisonment (RI) yesterday for killing a man in July 20, 2005.
The convicts are Moyenuddin of Kullia village in Magura Sadar upazila, his son Ohidul and their fellow villager Belal.
Each of the convicts were fined Tk 20,000, in default, to suffer six months more RI.
Prosecution story, in brief, is that Mujibur Rahman of the same village was critically injured as the convicts beat him indiscriminately on July 20, 2005. The next day he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Magura Sadar Hospital.
Wife of the deceased filed a murder case with Magura Sadar Police Station on July 21, 2005 accusing eight people. After investigation for about 10 months, police framed charges against the three.
