Special Olympics team off to China

Bangladesh Special Olympics team left for China yesterday to take part in the Special Olympics Summer World Games (OSWG) to be held in Shanghai from October 2.
There are 48 players and 19 officials in the Bangladesh contingent.
Bangladesh will participate in seven disciplines -- aquatics, athletics, badminton, bocce, football, table tennis and cricket.
Bangladesh, participating in the Special Olympics Summer World Games since 1995, won 37 gold, 22 silver and 19 bronze medals in the last three events.
