Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) will operate special Eid services from Thursday alongside normal services for the convenience of home-bound people during Eid festival, says a press release.
In Dhaka-Chandpur-Barisal-Khulna routes BIWTC will operate special vessels -- Paddle steamer PS Ostrich, PS Mahmud, PS Turn, PS Lepcha, and MV Sela. Moreover, it will operate special sea truck services for island districts.
It will also operate additional ferry services in different routes.
BIWTC will also keep operating all services on the day of Eid under special arrangement.
