Muggers shot an engineering workshop employee and snatched his salary at Tikatuli in the city yesterday afternoon.
Witnesses said Mohammad Sohel, 18, came under the attack when he along with his two colleagues was retuning to Golapbag from their workplace at Narinda at about 5:45pm after drawling monthly salary.
The armed muggers numbering three took away Tk 8,000 from him.
Sohel was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with bullet wounds in his abdomen.
