Homage to Samudra Gupta and Mahamudul Haque

'Folder', a monthly literary publication in Pabna has issued a special supplement on July 24, in honour of poet Samudra Gupto, and author Mahamudul Haque. They both died last week. Six poems and articles published in the periodicals remember the poet and author.
The poems 'Samudra Guptor Bidai', 'Kobi Samudra Guptoke Sradhhanjali' 'Shok Barta' are the main poems in the publication. Bangla Academy awarded Omor Ali, Akhter Zaman and Sifat Rahman Sanam for their contributions . The publication has also paid homage to the late film artiste Lalu Bhai.
“ Samudra Gupto is one of the most prominent poets of the country. His writings for the people inspired us. He has contributed a lot to our literature. Author Mahamudul Haque also added to our literature. It is our duty to paid homage to their souls.” said Md. Idris Ali, editor and publisher of 'Folder'.
'Folder' is 29 years old. Local poets and writers contribute to it. It publishes regularly with the special supplements recalling the death and birth anniversaries of prominent poets and writers.
