Rumon Reza of the daily Janakantha and Channel i, and Abu Saud Masud of the daily Amar Desh were elected president and general secretary of Narayanganj Press Club for the year 2008-10, says a press release.
The election was held on Friday.
Other office bearers are: vice president -- Nafiz Ashraf of ntv and the daily Jai Jai Din; joint secretary -- Hasanuzzaman Shamim of Channel i and the daily Nayadiganta; treasurer -- AKM Mahfuzur Rahman of Bangladesh Television; sports and cultural secretary -- Sharif Uddin Shabuj of daily Jugantar.
Executive committee members are: Khandaker Shah Alam, Hafizur Rahman Mintu, Bimal Roy, Monirul Islam and Billal Hossain Robin.
