ASM Chemical opens 10-MW power plant

ASM Chemical Industries Ltd yesterday inaugurated its 10-megawatt power plant at ASM Chemical Complex at Tepirbari under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur, says a press release.
The power station is expected to ensure continuous service and uninterrupted production process and minimise the impact of the national power crisis that frequently grips the nation.
Power Division Secretary Dr M Fouzul Kabir Khan formally inaugurated the power plant as the special guest.
Home Secretary Md Abdul Karim and Power Energy and Mineral Resources Secretary Md Mohsin were present as the chief guest and the special guest respectively.
ASM Chemical Chairman Azizul Haque Chowdhury and Director and CEO Zoynal Abedin Chowdhury were also present at the inaugural function.
