Galib of Rangpur Cadet College adjudged best debater

Cadet Galib of Rangpur Cadet College (CCR) has been adjudged the best debater at the 10th National Television School Debate Competition organised by Bangladesh Television (BTV).
The session to select the best debater of the competition, which featured 192 competitors from 64 educational institutions across the country, was held yesterday where the topic was 'UN the greatest contribution of human civilisation'.
Tabassum Binte Bakul of Lt Anwar Bir Uttam Girls' College clinched the second place while Cadet Rifat of Comilla Cadet College was third.
The contestants took part at the session imitating the UN Security Council and acting as representatives of Russia, UK, Germany, France, US and China.
Officer-in-Charge of United Nations Information Centre, Dhaka Kazi Ali Reza was present at the session as the UN secretary general while Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran, president of Debate for Democracy, presided over the programme.
