Warfaze to release new album in July
The present line-up of Warfaze
After nearly five years, popular rock band Warfaze is set to release their new album. The album A Chosen Glimpse is expected to be released in Bangladesh and in India sometime in July. The album includes reproductions of some of their popular songs.
The version of the album to be released in India will feature ten songs from previous albums, while the Bangladeshi version will feature 12 songs including two new compositions. Warfaze's last album Maharaj was released in 2003.
Some of the Warfaze hits including Ekti chhele, Boshe achhi and Shadhikar -- from their debut (self titled) album (released in 1991); Poth Chola from Jibondhara (1997) and Hariye tomakey from the album Maharaj are expected to feature in the upcoming album.
On their current project, band leader and drummer Tipu said, "Usually we take longer as our aim is to offer music of a certain standard, Also, since teh release of our last album, we have gone through some changes in our line-up. That delayed the whole process as well."
Warfaze's current line-up is: Mizan (vocal), Kamal (lead guitar) Shams (keyboard), Rojer (bass), Tipu (drums and percussion) and Oni (guitar).
One of the leading rock bands in the country, Warfaze has released six albums so far.
