2 babies drown in Satkhira

Two babies were drowned in ponds near their houses in Tala and Debhata upazilas yesterday.
The victims are one and a half-year-old Al Amin, son of Habibur Rahman of village Jujkhola in Tala upazila and Bristi, one-year-old daughter of Jamshed Ali of village Narkeli in Debhata upazila.
While playing by the side of ponds, the two ill-fated babies slipped into the water, police quoted locals as saying. Neighbours later recovered the bodies.
