Chhatra Front blasts CU's double shifts

The Samajtantrik Chhatra Front (SCF) yesterday said the Chittagong University (CU) is becoming a business institution by introducing double shifts, says a press release.
In a statement, SCF president and general secretary said the university is starting double shifts in the university demeaning the “public nature” of the university.
They said the Dhaka University and Rajshahi University authorities took such decisions before, but they could not succeed due to the demonstrations of teachers and students.
The leaders urged the CU syndicate not to take the decision of beginning the double shifts.
They also said if the university syndicate takes the decision to start double shift, the SCF would resist it at any cost.
