Security to be tightened at SC ahead of war crimes trial appeal
The Supreme Court and government authorities have decided to strengthen security in the court area ahead of filing and hearing appeals against the verdicts of the war crimes cases.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the officials concerned at the SC registrar's office in the capital yesterday.
SC Registrar AKM Shamsul Islam said they took the decision to avoid any untoward incident during the case proceedings.
Around 200 law enforcers are now deployed on the SC premises, he said.
