Munier Chowdhury's “Kobor” staged

Marking 'Amor Ekushey' and International Mother Language Day, students of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in Trishal staged Shaheed Munier Chowdhury's much-acclaimed play “Kobor” at the Gahi Sammyer Gaan stage of the university on Wednesday evening. Sayeem Mohammad Jamil directed the play.
Students of Music Department of the university also organised a musical programme marking the occasion. The artistes also rendered patriotic songs at the programme.
Earlier, a discussion was held with Vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Syed Giasuddin Ahmed, as chief guest and other high-ups of the university as special guests.
Later, students and teachers of the university placed floral wreaths at the university Shaheed Minar in the early hours of Thursday.
Cultural organisations, including Udichi Mymensingh unit, held special programmes marking the occasion.
