Last minute touches to usher in Christmas are underway in 25 villages in Pabna district. Thirteen churches, including Baptist and Catholic houses of worship have been beautifully decorated with the narrative of Christ's nativity, predominantly in Pabna Sadar upazila, Chatmohar upazila, Ishwardi upazila, Ataikula and Atghoria upazila.
“Special prayers for Christmas and carols will be held in all the churches in the district. As the part of the traditional event, a cake festival, cultural and sports competitions will be organised,” said Uttam Das, secretary of Pabna Baptist Church.
