V-Day tennis

The quarterfinal lineup of men's singles in the Runner Victory Day Open Tennis Tournament was completed yesterday with eight players reaching the last eight at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna yesterday.
Amol Roy, Arif Hossain, Anwar Hossain, Munir Hossain, Ranjam Ram, Alamgir Hossain, Hanif Munna and Delwar Hossain beat their respective rivals to move into the quarterfinals in men's singles.
In women's singles quarterfinals, Sharmin Alam Sarda beat Ayesha Sultana 6-0, 6-1, Afrana Islam beat Moumita Jannat Mou 6-0, 6-1, Jara Alam beat Tasin Ajmi Rajani 6-1, 6-1 and Ishita Afroz beat Safina Shaha 6-1 and 6-2 to reach the semifinals.
