Mahbubuzzaman passes away
Mohammad Mahbubuzzaman, a former minister, passed away at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore yesterday evening at the age of 82.
Mahbubuzzaman, also a former cabinet secretary, had been suffering from heart ailments, family sources said.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His body will be flown to Dhaka by Singapore Airlines at 10:40pm today.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Bangladesh Medical College Hospital at 10:00am on Wednesday and the second one at Baitul Aman Jame Masjid after Zohr prayers.
He will be buried at the Banani Army Graveyard, the sources said.
His elder son Col Mohammad Anisuzzaman is the BDR Sector Commander of Mymensingh and his younger son Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman is a vice-president of the Bank of America, New York.
