Nine members of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) have been sued on charge of killing two activists of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) at Kanchannagar in Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong on Tuesday.
Dhiman Chakma, convener of PCJSS Laxmichhari upazila unit, filled a case against the nine UPDF men with Fatikchhari Police Station Wednesday evening.

Gunmen shot dead PCJSS activists Saikat Chakma, 25, son of Nomini Kumar Chakma of Suknachhari area, and Debabrata Chakma, 32, son of Jerandra Chakma of Battalipara area in Laxmichhari upazila.
MS Sobur, officer-in-charge of Fatikchhari Police Station, quoted locals as saying that a gang of criminals opened fire on Saikat and Debabrata at Kanchannagar at around 12:30pm, leaving them dead on the spot
Contacted, complainant Dhiman Chakma said UPDF cadres led by Samir, Ratan, Panendra and Ranjan launched the armed attack on PCJSS men while they were returning to Laxmichhari from Kanchannagar Bazar.
Refuting the allegation, UPDF Press Secretary Niron Chakma said his party is in no way involved with the murder of two PCJSS activists. They were killed over intra-party feud, he added. None of the accused was arrested as of filing of this report at 5:00pm yesterday.
