Men's h'ball from Friday

Exim Bank 22nd National Men's Handball Championship gets underway tomorrow at two separate venues of the capital, with 28 teams participating.
Initially 24 teams, split into eight groups, will play in round-robin league at the Shaheed (captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium and Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur. Champions of each of the eight groups will be joined by last year's top four finishers – Boarder Guard of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Chittagong Metropolis and Chapainawabganj – in the second round which has also been divided into four groups. Champions of each of those four groups will play in the semifinals.
Exim Bank will provide Tk 10 lakh out of an estimated budget of Tk 11.2 lakh.
