Obituary
Tozammel Ali, a freedom fighter, a language movement hero and journalist, died of kidney failure and Parkinson's disease at Lab Aid Hospital in the capital yesterday. He was 76.
He left behind his wife, three sons, a daughter and four brothers, said a press release.
Tozammel, former acting editor of the Dainik Janata, also worked at the Dainik Sangbad and the Banglar Bani. He will be buried in Dhaka. Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists, Dhaka Union of Journalists, and Bangladesh Sangbadik Odhikar Forum expressed deep shock at his death.
