Moushumi Nag: Memories of Durga Puja

Moushumi Nag's ancestral home 'Nag Niketan' is located near Ashulia's Fantasy Kingdom. Her numerous childhood memories surrounding Durga Puja include the special times at the temple near her house, along with the many gifts she received as the youngest girl in the family.
Although the fun-filled childhood days are gone, Moushumi Nag has cleared out her shooting schedules to celebrate Durga Puja at home, enjoying the festivities with her relatives.
She has also bought several sarees and accessories for the occasion, as well as shopping for other family members. The actress says, “Durga Puja is always an occasion for a special kind of joy. I extend my best wishes for everyone during the festive days.”
Asked if she has plans to travel during Durga Puja, Moushumi Nag shares, “I used to be a student of Bharateshwary Homes. I plan on going there on Ashtami. It always hosts a grand Puja celebration. I'll also get the chance to reunite with my school friends. I plan on having a great time there.”
To Moushumi Nag, all her childhood Puja days form a collection of memorable events. She fondly remembers, “I used to hide my new clothes, so that I could surprise everyone on the day of the Puja. That is a very special memory that I cherish.”
Apart from her Puja preparations, Moushumi Nag is also busy with her acting career. She recently returned from a one month trip to Canada, and jumped right into a busy schedule. For the first time, the actress is working in a film, Tonmoy Tansen's “Run Out”. Its first lot of shooting is already done.
On the movie, Moushumi informs that the plot is based on the underworld. Shahiduzzaman Selim will play the role of a don, while Moushumi Nag will play his girlfriend - in the dance and song filled digital cinema.
Asked if she plans on doing more commercial films, Moushumi Nag says only time will answer.
She is also busy with TV dramas. Her Eid specials include “Bibhranti”, “Orthohin”, “Ekti Oshomapto Golpo Ebong Bhindeshi Tara” and a five-episode mini-series “Holiday”.
However, the bulk of Moushumi Nag's appearances are in daily soaps or serials. Boishakhi TV is airing “Ognipoth”, Gazi TV is showing “Jononi”, Maasranga is airing “Saat Sowdagar”, “Boiri Batash” is being aired by ATN Bangla, while she has also finished work in Syed Jamim's new serial “Chena Poth Ochena Goli”.
The actress meanwhile claims that she cannot take up any new offers for a serial, as most of her time is dedicated to the daily soaps.
Moushumi Nag also passes on Durga Puja greetings for her fans and close ones, adding “I wish everyone can share the joys of Puja this year.”
