Man who caught Gaddafi dies

More than 10,000 people yesterday gathered to mourn one of the Libyan rebels credited with capturing ex-leader Muammar Gaddafi last year.
Omran Bin Shaaban died on Tuesday after being kidnapped, shot and tortured by people who many in his hometown of Misrata believe were supporters of the late dictator.
The 22-year-old's body was later flown to his western hometown of Misrata. The government said it would honour Shaaban with a funeral fit for a hero.
In Misrata, protesters called for the government to avenge his death.
Shaaban arrived in Misrata with torture marks on his body and a bullet wound near his spinal cord, according to reports. He was taken to Paris for treatment, but died late on Tuesday.
