Defence cross-examine Banshkhali carnage case plaintiff
A defence lawyer in the Banshkhali carnage case cross-examined the plaintiff, Bimal Shil, the fourth time by the defence since the trial began on May 15, in a Chittagong court yesterday.
The judge fixed October 3 for the next hearing.
On November 18, 2003, some men torched Tejendra Shil's house in Sadhanpur union of Banshkhali upazila, 30 miles off Chittagong city, burning alive 11 of the 12-member family, including a four-day-old infant.
Tejendra's second son, Bimal, the lone survivor, filed the case the next day.
