Sonali Bank romp to 5-0

Sonali Bank tasted their first victory in the Super League of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League with a 5-0 win over Shadharan Bima at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium yesterday.
Sonali Bank led the first half 2-0 with two strikes from Mohammad Imran and Ajit Kumar Ghosh in the 19th and 20th minutes respectively.
After resumption, Shamsul Alam Sujan widened the margin in the 48th minute while Pakistani Imran made it 4-0 in the 54th minute.
Sujan then completed the rout scoring in the 60th minute, sealing Sonali Bank's first victory in the Super League and seventh overall in the league.
The triumph also kept Sonali Bank in their previous fourth position with 21 points while Shadharan Bima, who lost all four matches in the Super League, occupy last place with 15 points, which were earned during the first leg of the league.
