92pc govt decisions implemented
The Awami League-led grand alliance government has implemented 92 percent of its decisions taken in the cabinet meetings during the last three-and-a-half-year tenure.
Meanwhile, the implementation rate was 72.6 percent for the BNP-led four-party alliance government during its first three-and-a-half-year tenure while in power, Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told journalists yesterday after the weekly cabinet meeting in Bangladesh Secretariat.
The incumbent government, during its regime, held 156 cabinet meetings and took 1,055 decisions, of which 974 were implemented.
Of the total implementation, 33 policies and 86 memorandum of understanding (MoU) have been approved and around 180 laws have been passed in parliament.
During the BNP-led alliance tenure, a total of 150 cabinet meetings were held and 544 decisions were taken, of which 395 were implemented.
