Annual general meeting of BSSSP

The 29th annual general meeting of Barisal Sangskritik Sangothan Samannaya Parishad (BSSSP) the alliance of 26 cultural organisations of the city was held recently.
The day- long programme was inaugurated by Golam Quddus, vice president, Sammilito Sangskritik Jote at Barisal Aswani Kumar Hall.
A rally was taken through the city roads as part of the inaugural ceremony of the programme.
The concluding part of the programme included a discussion, and annual general council presided over by advocate Nazrul Islam Chunnu, outgoing president BSSSP.
Jaglul Haider Shahin, outgoing secretary BSSSP, presented the annual report, discussed and approved by the participating 200 delegates of the organisations.
The participants and discussants at the programme called for the immediate trial of the war criminals and promoting Bengali cultural traditions in all aspects of life to prevent foreign cultural aggression.
