Caretaker government demand of the people

As days are passing, the hope for a dialogue over caretaker government is vanishing as the government has taken a rigid stance against it. The other day Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina dismissed the idea outright calling the system a 'danob' meaning a 'monster' and declared that people do not want to see it again.
We do not know from where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina got the information because almost all of the people want the next general election to be held under a caretaker government, so her perception is not right.
It was Awami League who wanted CTG and had turned the country upside down to achieve their goals. Now they cannot abolish it just because they have realised that they may not win the next general election because of their failure in governing the country properly and making a mess of many important issues.
There is still one and a half year left for this government. If the government comes to an understanding with the opposition over the CTG issue, that will end the prevailing confrontational situation which has made the people very anxious. And if the government wholeheartedly engages it9-8888self for the welfare of the country and its people, the Awami League-led government may again be able to regain people's trust.
