Journos remember Sadi
Sports journalists took a break for a while yesterday and sat together in silence to mark the first death anniversary of one of their very own, Al Musabbir Sadi, who lost his battle against the killer cancer on this very day in 2011.
It was a small voluntary gathering at the Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) office where journos recalled the ever-smiling selfless soul in a sombre mood. Those who spoke on the occasion once again recalled his integrity, commitment and knowledge in this field. They also offered prayers during
a doa mahfil at the BSJA office adjacent to the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Sadi's premature death was a great loss for country's sports journalism. He was a dreamer and that's why he chose to serve Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) as its general secretary till his death.
The BFF also arranged a milad at its Motijheel headquarters to mark Sadi's death anniversary. A lot of people gathered there, save his mentor and BFF boss Kazi Salahuddin.
