Man stabbed to death

A man was stabbed to death by his rivals over land dispute at Darai village in Kahalu upazila on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Mahfuzur Rahman, 50, son of late Mobarak Ali of the village. Police said there was a long running dispute between Mahfuzur Rahman and some of his co-villagers over the ownership of a piece of land. As a sequel to the enmity, the rival group called Mahfuzur and took him to their house at about 2pm. Later, they stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
