Reopen Khilgaon flyover to all vehicles

Khilgaon flyover has still been kept off limits for heavy vehicles causing severe traffic congestion under the flyover at Khilgaon rail crossing. This situation has been continuing for the last one year. With increasing number of vehicles joining the vehicular fleet o every day, the traffic situation under the flyover is fast deteriorating .
Several news reports were published in the newspapers about this. But the government paid no heed to those. The government's attention was drawn only when newspapers carried reports that the Khilgaon flyover had developed cracks. Then several teams from BUET, city corporation and LGED ministry inspected the flyover and reported that these cracks were design faults and had been there since the construction of the flyover. So there is nothing to worry about.
We request the authorities concerned to reopen the flyover for all types of vehicles. If the flyover needs repair, that should be done immediately. Keeping the flyover underutilised in the name of safety will bring no good, rather increase people's sufferings.
