400 illegal structures demolished

Rajuk evicted and demolished around 400 illegal structures and recovered 15 acres of government land in the city's Uttara.
The eviction included kitchen markets, restaurants, garages, and shops in Uttara sector-11 and 12. A team of around 60 labourers, a bulldozer, and two platoons of Armed Police Battalion, conducted the drive led by Rajuk Executive Magistrate Rokon-Ud-Dowla yesterday.
The drive resulted in the recovery of 15 acres of land of Rajuk where the kitchen markets were built illegally, Rokon-Ud-Dowla said. The magistrate said another drive would be conducted in the area on Sunday.
