Foreign liquor, cannabis seized

Police seized huge contraband foreign liquor, cannabis and arrested two people in separate drives in the port city early Monday and yesterday.
The arrestees are Mohammad Sanaullah, 30, of Noakhali and Pangkaj Dey, 38, of Gosaildanga in the port city, said a press release.
Detective Branch (DB) of police team conducted a drive at Kamal Bazar Jalali Station on Monday and arrested Sanaullah and seized the cannabis from his possession.
In another drive, DB police arrested Pangkaj red-handed in front of Bijoy Hotel under Bandar Police Station and seized 20 bottles of contraband wine from his possession yesterday.
